Charlie Lake Provincial Park is a quiet hidden gem just North of Fort St. John. Perfect for getting together with the family for a fun camping trip due to its great location situation around the western shore of Charlie Lake. The area is approximately 92 hectares, so you won't be crammed into a small spot close to other campers.
For a change of scenery from the outdoors to indoors, check out Grand Berg Gallery. This gallery represents the hard work of 45 artists from Grand Prairie and Western Canada. Their talents include painting, carving, sculpting, photography, pottery and much more. Exhibitions change per season and can be found on the Grand Berg Gallery website along with entrance prices. The gallery is open Tuesday-Friday between 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM along with Saturday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Step back to the pioneer days at Walter Wright Pioneer Village. This unique experience is a desired heritage site which helps explore Dawson Crew's rich history. You can walk around the town on a self-guided tour or group tour. The town is complete with a general store, churches, and a schoolhouse along with old farm equipment, early 1900s vehicles, furniture and much more.
