posted by: Stone Bridge Hotel on: January 22, 2020 05:50:25 PM

Grande Prairie offers visitors a diverse host of activities and events. You can enjoy all the comforts and conveniences of a modern city and the wild adventures of the great outdoors just minutes away. The city also hosts wonderful musical events that appeal to diverse audiences – whether you want to get out and rock, or go to a concert where you can take your kids, we’ve got you covered!

Rocking back from the dead, man! Canadian group Theory of a Deadman is one of the biggest acts to have emerged from Chad Kroeger’s 604 Record label, playing true rock and roll with a working man’s sensibility. They’ve written hit after hit under their original name and they've written songs as "Theory". They're back now under their own moniker and bound to blow the roof off at Grande Prairie’s Revolution Place on February 6! See them live, playing their hits such as “Make Up Your Mind,” “Bad Girlfriend,” “Santa Monica,” and “Rx (medicate)."

It doesn’t matter how old you are or how grown-up you think you are, if you grew up in Canada, you know the words:

The cat came back
The very next day
The cat came back
They thought it was a goner
But the cat came back
It just couldn’t stay a-waaaaaaaaaaay…

And, chances are if you followed along with the lyrics this far, you can remember Fred Penner singing this for the children and then asking them to “Give Me a Meow!” Fred Penner, one of the greatest children’s entertainer of all time, became famous through his CBC TV show Fred Penner's Place which aired from 1985 to 1997, and his tenure on the US cable channel Nickelodeon, from 1989 to 1992.  A skilled and superb songwriter, singer and guitar player, he writes music that entertains and educates young audiences. He has won the Juno Award for Children's Album of the Year a total of four times! He’s an absolute Canadian classic, and he will be coming to Grand Prairie on February 21! Bring the kids to see him at the Performing Arts Theatre at St. John Paul II.

Grande Prairie welcomes everyone who comes this far north for a rollicking rock concert or a show featuring one of the most beloved children's entertainer of all time. You will also receive a warm welcome when you book a room at the Stonebridge Hotel by Pomeroy.
